In connection with the implementation of the task called „Improvement of rail access to the seaport in Gdynia”, it was necessary to demolish 4 railway signal boxes, three of which were in the city register of monuments.

The condition for issuing a demolition permit was to conduct a detailed inventory taking into account the requirements imposed by the City Conservator of Monuments – Gdynia.

Gdynia Port Station is a freight station located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The station area is limited from the east by the Container Basins, from the north by Janka Wiśniewskiego Street, and from the south by Morska Street. Gdynia Port Station is connected to Gdynia Oksywie Station by line no. 228 and connecting road no. 724. The connection with Gdynia Chylonia Station is provided by line no. 723, while access to Gdynia Postojowa Station is provided by connecting road no. 961. Line no. 201 runs through the entire Gdynia Port Station towards Nowa Wieś Wielka Station. The connection to Gdynia Główna is provided by single-track line no. 725.

GPC Station – The building served as a station and executive signal box at Gdynia Towarowa station. After the construction of a modern signal box in the post-war years located at km 208.070, the building of the former station serves as a warehouse. is located on the Nowa Wieś Wielka – Gdynia Port railway line, line number 201. The building has no basement, year of construction – the end of the 20th century, single-storey, masonry walls made of small-sized elements, reinforced concrete flat roof, electrical installation, usable area 38.94 m2

GPD Signal Box – The GPD Railway Signal Box Building is located on the Nowa Wieś Wielka – Gdynia Port railway line, line number 201, at kilometer 209, 180. The building has no basement, year of construction 1930, three-storey, masonry walls made of small-sized elements, reinforced concrete flat roof covered with roofing felt, electrical installation, telecommunications installation, electric heating, water and sewage installation, air conditioning, volume 515.15 m3, usable area 157.49 m2

GPC Signal Box – The GPC Railway Signal Box Building is located on the Nowa Wieś Wielka – Gdynia Port railway line, line number Wieś Wielka – Gdynia Port, line no. 201, at kilometer 208, 070. Building without a basement, built in 1965, three-storey, walls made of small-sized brick elements, reinforced concrete flat roof covered with roofing felt, electrical installation, telecommunications installation, electric heating, water and sewage installation, septic tank, volume 478.20 m3, usable area 112.06 m2

GPB Signal Box – The GPB Railway Signal Box Building is located on the Nowa Wieś Wielka – Gdynia Port railway line, line no. 201, at kilometer 208, 100. Building without a basement, built in 1922. renovation 2005, single-storey, brick walls, wooden ceiling and roof covered with roofing felt, electrical installation, telecommunications installation, electric heating, water and sewage installation, septic tank, cubic capacity 104.00 m3, usable area 29.35 m2
